Big Plus and a Couple of Minuses - 8/3/2005
I moved here from CA 6 years ago and love it here. It is a barrier island which is a part of Long Island off the Atlantic coast, so it is all beach coastline with a laid-back culture v.s. New York City. Housing costs are high, but there are plentiful rentals compared to the rest of Long island that is predominantly single family homes with an attached small apartment. There are also a higher precentage of singles here. Most of the parking is street parking which can present a problem in summer season.
